As Senior Communications and Operations Officer, Ms. Friend works closely with the New York Program and Finance teams, senior-level volunteer experts and FSVC’s global field staff to manage the organization’s internal and external communications and provide operational support.

Prior to joining the FSVC team, Ms. Friend worked as a Language and Cultural Ambassador in Madrid, Spain through the Spanish Ministry of Education. She also has a professional background in financial marketing and communications with a strong emphasis on Corporate Social Responsibility. Ms. Friend holds a BSc in Marketing and Spanish from the University of South Carolina.
